Bluetooth and saved Wi-Fi networks
Model O offers local Bluetooth options and saved Wi-Fi networks alongside its Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection to the VisiblAir Cloud Portal.
- Sensirion MyAmbience: View nearby live CO₂, PM2.5, VOC index, NOx index, temperature, and humidity readings in the MyAmbience app over Bluetooth. This mode works without Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- BTHome v2: Broadcast CO₂, temperature, humidity, PM2.5, PM10, and pressure when available to nearby receivers such as Home Assistant. Broadcasts are unencrypted; VOC and NOx indexes are not included.
- Saved Wi-Fi networks: Store up to five networks. When Ethernet is unavailable, Model O can automatically try the saved networks. Manage them on the local setup page or in authenticated local Settings.
- Local controls: The PIN-protected local Readings, Device status, and Settings pages make sensor values and network status easier to find. Settings also provides firmware upload without entering setup mode.
Bluetooth is disabled by default. Select either MyAmbience or BTHome in the configuration portal or authenticated local Settings; only one Bluetooth mode operates at a time. Check the installed firmware version on the local Device status page.
